Normally it is the same key for ignition and seat/uel cap.
The exhaust stud spacing on 1198 and 1098R is different to 848/1098 so I don’t believe that your system exhaust headers will fit those models....

I doubt that Ducati ever designed the exhaust studs to act as an attachment point for a bracket to hold a radiator guard.
If it snapped flush to the head - tricky. If there's some stud protruding - less tricky. Sounds like a poor design to pick up on exhaust studs.
