A US20 on the tank is too big, it’ll interfere with navigation devices (TomTom or QuadLock) mounted on handlebars, so only use a US10 for the tank

If you’ve used the plug as mentioned 2 posts further up in this thread, you should’ve had some rubber prongs included, and you won’t need tape
