2010 Ducati Hypermotard 796 Wont Start Help

  1. My 2010 Ducati hypermotard 796 would not start the other day as the battery was dead out of nowhere. I bought a new battery and plugged it in. When I turn the key on, the dash flashes repeatedly and I can hear the fuel pump turn on, as well as the running lights turn on. If I press the starter button the fuel pump makes noise, but nothing else happens. I have check every fuse and every connector I can find and nothing looks wrong. I also tested the voltage regulator and it is good. Any ideas as to what might be happening?

  2. Sounds as though the new battery is not charged enough to turn over engine. Did you charge it?

  3. The battery is fully charged and I have load tested it. The must be some other electrical issue, whether it is something wrong with the dash or something else I do not know.

  4. Do you hear the starter motor relay click when you press he starter button?

  5. No, not at all. Whatever is preventing the dash from working is also preventing the starter motor from getting any signal from the starter button.

  6. check fuses.?

  7. Already checked all of them, they are good.

  8. starter relay?
