1260 Gearing

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Pappy, Oct 12, 2018.

  1. hi all . Has any body changed the gearing on the 1260 by adding 2 teeth on the rear.

  2. 1260, no, 1200, yes. Definatly helps.

  3. Anyone knows if there is an OEM part or after market?

  4. Bought mine from Carpimoto

50-35059-42 - ESJOT Stainless Steel Rear Sprocket Ducati Multistrada 1200, 530 chain, 42 teeth

  5. I find the 1260 Multi is geared a bit high.
Consequently, I just bit the bullet and ordered an ESJOT 42T 530 steel sprocket.
Thanks for sharing as 42T one-piece steel sprockets are hard to find.
Will be replacing the chain with an EK 530 ZVX3.
If I receive it quickly, I may be able to get it installed during the 1000KM first service that's coming up.

  6. Stainless you say? I always though stainless was too hard for sprockets.
