The newer ktm adventure looks great, the v4 multi, it looks like it has reached middle age and is as fat as you would expect

  7. But sales of performance exhaust options have increased ;)

  8. And also, that fucking Suzuki :joy:

  9. but,is it really coming on 2020??

  10. The V twin GT with radar is , or so Ive read

  11. yes but just v2 upgrade.what about the v4?

  12. The US Environmental Protection Agency has confirmed the existence of a Ducati Multistrada 1260 GT, along with the rest of the Ducati range.
The acronym of the motorcycle and its size and weight characteristics indicate that -at least this- is a V2 and not a V4, a motorcycle that we know is under development. This motorcycle will possibly replace the Multistrada Pikes Peak.
The denomination indicates that it would be a trail totally focused on asphalt, in the style of the BMW S1000XR.
    With built-in radar
KTM has been collaborating with Bosch for some time to incorporate a radar system that is capable of detecting vehicles that are out of sight of the driver, in addition to other functions.

  13. Well this would bring the suck for two years in a row...Ducati!!!

I personally cant wait unto 2021 and have a 100K mile ENDURO on my hands.

Might go orange for a couple of years...then again BMW might put their new RR engine in the XR.

    6 more weeks...roll on Oct 23

  14. I owned an XR for almost 2 years - absolutely amazing machine, far better than the multi at everything on paper. But the multi will always beat it for feel and enjoyment

I test rode the KTM 1290 super adventure S (what a mouthful) and hated it. Felt like an undeveloped version of the multi, with a much too large front wheel! Gearbox was clunky and very vague, front end too slow, engine was uninspiring

    Bring on the V4 MTS!

  15. my friend i see no v4 multi coming on 2020...maybe you were mistaken about the year of that model...

  16. So just reading up on the Bosch motorcycle radar system people are predicting will come to future multis. A technology I believe nobody needs. Automatically maintains a safe following distance. So moving down the motorway in the high speed lane in traffic, making your progress. The system keeps you at the proper 2 second following distance and cars will constantly be moving in between you and the vehicle in front, so you fall back and fall back as cars tailgate you. That's not how I ride in the high speed lane in traffic. I also hug the line by the slower lane so I can see the road surface well ahead. Which lane is the radar going to scan then?
Warning messages and signals on the dash or on the rear view mirror. Do we really need more distractions while we scroll through our music list, make phone calls, or accept texts? Probably not.

  17. Isn't euro5 like 10 years old?
Why are these cans so huge? If it's about emissions are they filled with catalyst from end to end ?

  18. If it works like that, it’ll suck. But I think what you’re describing is a low-performance car radar, the kind that’s fitted to a Golf for example. I can’t imagine the test riders in Borgo Panigale signing off on that sh1t, can you?

  19. If it's anything like the system fitted to my my Tiguan the following distance is adjustable via steering wheel controls. A camera sees the white lines and only recognises vehicles in the same lane. Works well but with the default distance you're right, in so much as UK drivers are concerned, cutting in drivers push you further back.

I was somewhat sceptical but it came fitted as standard to the car. In fact it's a pretty useful gadget on our crowded motorways. Not so sure I'd be comfortable with it on a bike though, very rarely use cruise control on my 1260 Mutley but I do try and avoid motorways when on the bike.
