1200 Buying Advice

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Richy Lambe, May 24, 2020.

  1. Having tried to remove the badge of a scratched pannier cover I can confirm it’s pretty well impossible to do this without damaging the badge!

  2. Haha. How are they attached, are they glued on?

  3. Just spray the covers to match the bike. Far easier, cheaper and quicker.

  4. Yes glued on!

  5. So I finally picked up my new Multistrada yesterday.
After a lot of deliberation, wondering have I done the wrong thing ordering a bike from a ‘supermarket’ over the Internet I changed my mind!!
Cancelled the order (basically got my deposit back as a credit note)
Instead I found a low mileage (7100 miles) DVT 1200S, haggled the guy down to £8250
Has the Touring pack and the Enduro pack. Still has silver panniers though! DD0C103C-C6ED-482D-85FC-A212E799F207.jpeg

  7. Find a local wrapping company for the pannier caps to change their colour, good luck on the bike

  8. You won't regret it I've had mine over a year now and still gives me more smiles per miles then other bikes I've owned

  9. Cracking bike, I love mine but don't ride it enough.
One tip, be careful taking panniers on and off.
