Hi gurus I brought a relocater kit from bike sport developments, i wanted to do the MOSFET rectifer upgrade with triumph cables, when looking on eBay for the rectifer they all seem used or non genuine, has the rectifer part number changed from FH020AA to some thing else?
I couldn't find a genuine Shindengen RR either. A £11 copy from AliExpress works very well for me. I doubt that the RR for sale on eBay and various other places are anything but the £11 quid versions from China.
I realise that the link below is to an older thread, but some of the information might be useful: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/mosfet-fh020aa-for-1098-848-1198-fixing.52667/ . These links might also be of interest: https://www.shindengen.com/products/electro/motorcycle/reg/ . https://www.shindengen.com/support/download/semi/ . Also, others on here with more experience of this modification should be able to help. Good luck, Tom.
The cheap Chinese stuff are Shunt type R/R’s dressed up with the correct connectors. Sourcing a used one on eBay is a good route. Mosfet R/R’s are to be found on Ducati, Triumph, Kawasaki and Yamaha. Put a best offer in on this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speed-Tr...=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Search this Ducati part # on ebay: 54040301b. Its the Shindengen MOSFET regulator used in later model Ducatis/
It's quite easy to spot a genuine one. Number printed on the back, one round mounting hole and one longhole, 8 round casting lugs and stainless steel bottom. I don't know if my cheapo one is mosfet or not but unlike the OEM RR it puts out a stable charge of 13.4V regardless or RPM.
