Neutral Switch 900s Ie (2002)

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by alistera, Apr 16, 2022.

  1. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper alternative for the neutral switch?
£30+ seems very expensive. (Honda cb 500 one is very similer but just slightly short £10)

  2. I may have a spare but can't check till next week. Wouldn't want too much for it

  3. Just a note, the early neutral switch has one wire and the later ones have 2 wires. Have you taken it out and tested the switch? Quite possibly it may just need a thicker or thinner shim/ washer.

  4. Thanks for the replies will check out that one ebay as that's a more reasonable price.
The problem with the switch is it has started leaking oil through it. (Its a one wire switch).

  6. as with a lot of parts they are not exclusive to the ss range and fit an array of other models
how to save money use the same part for every thing lol

  7. I use a lambda socket, to fit mine.
    Anything better?

  8. I got an old deep socket, and cut a slot in it for the wire to hang out off. Works great

  9. If the CB500 one fits snug and works properly, I’d give it a try. Maybe just double-check the thread size and connection type. Worst case, a small spacer or washer might help with the length issue.
