V4 Pikes Peak

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Steelboss, Oct 10, 2021.

  1. What pressures are you running?

  2. When I picked the bike up clearly the dealer had not checked the pressures they were down to mid 20’s psi. I pumped to recommended but was too high, lost some confidence on the front, so running somewhere in between at 32/36psi

  3. Finally collected mine today following a seven month wait. Feels great. I was pleasantly surprised how much more I prefer the suspension over the V4S. Roll on the miles!

  4. Glad you happy , took me 1000miles 3 ride outs to make my mind up .

  5. From the majority of PP bikes I’ve seen for sale, I’d say most owners don’t do 1000 a year let alone in 3 rides :joy:

  6. First ride since getting the first service done and full system fitted. I thought it was good before, now it’s next level.

  11. Ordered some carbon heel guards, top carbon exhaust guard and heatshield in carbon yesterday. Still a bit miffed that you don’t get the exhaust bits in carbon from Akrapovic when spending so much money.

  12. Pictures when you have them fitted would be nice

  13. Goes without saying!

  14. Just finished bottom half of Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. About 800 miles. 3 of us doing it and I was on PP V4 and had a mate on standard Multi V4S. Was somewhat surprised to see I regularly got through about a litre less fuel than him when we came to fill up, so 5-8% better fuel efficiency. He's a bit bigger than me not massively, and probably had a bit more kit with him, but can't see how that would account for all the difference. I tend to be a bit more enthusiastic with the throttle than him, and even when I was following him still saw the same difference. Both bikes had just gone through their first service before we headed off. Annoyed him no end, which made it all the sweeter!

  15. Thats interesting. I’ve not worked out the fuel consumption, couldn’t care less tbh, but have noticed that I seem to be stopping for fuel more often!

  16. Well, here in Spain, we have already found a very discreet hole for the scotoiler in the PP, or in the V4S, when it is completely finished, a friend is assembling it and some details are still missing, I will post photos, it is looking great , and also barely visible from anywhere.

By the way, I have to change my photo of the nickname for the updated motorcycle, but I was so happy with my 1200 dvt, that it even makes me sad lol

  17. If you buy these bikes, more often than not the fuel sender fails, so you've never any accurate idea what mileage you get from a tank anyway :D

  18. Hello I've only been on the forum for a short time.

    https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/hello-from-spain-v4-pp.91572/

I am the one who has mounted the Scootoiler on my new PP V4 that @CHUKI comments,

I have thought of writing myself so that @CHUKI would not take credit for the merits :p

I have been working more than 30 hours on this job looking for solutions to this greaser, quite complicated on this bike and I have already assembled more than 8 devices.

    I'll tell you first hand....

    A cordial greeting.
