Thanks for the tips Gaz, This is why i like it when people do threads for there builds as the information is there for myself and others to check, as i know when its c/sprocket time i will be rechecking through this thread
Update I dropped the engine into Glen at Moto V near Colchester Essex last week and picked it up today so i can strip and paint everything and zinc a few bolts etc, Gallery plug all good it will be centre punched around the edge when refitted.
Got myself some decent paint stripper and made a worktop board with sides to stop all the crap falling out everywhere, Just got heads left to strip then it’s painting time,
Was going the Aqua route but now probably all black, gloss barrels/head, satin cases, grey valve covers and oil cooler bracket and bolts plated.
The bike is looking great. Can you tell me who did your frame welding please, my 900ss has a tiny crack near the headstock - many thanks
Hi Kevin Sorry to hear you have a crack and as you probably know it’s not uncommon, Mine didn’t but thought as it’s a bare frame I would get it done, I had it welded by a mate if mine who did me a favour and fitted it in at his place of work.
