Hi all, new to Ducati. I’m back on 2 wheels after a 15 year break. From Lancashire UK. Previous bikes. GSXR400 - KTM Duke 2. Aprilia Dorsoduro. (Also I’ve paid my £5 subscription which in the grand scheme of things is 42p a week. I know what running a forum is like and the admin deserve a bit in return for hosting)
All good so far, ready for 1st service at 600 miles now. Had a 150 mile ride out last weekend and wasn't any discomfort and hadn't shaken any of my fillings out get alot people asking over it when I stop. I've never seen another on the road apart from in the dealers as yet.
First service is at 1000km which is 620 of your imperial miles, if you turn up under the light will come on at that mileage meaning you’ll need to return to your service agent to have the light turned off if you go in bang on 600 miles. That’s my understanding of how the first service is calculated as the majority of countries use kilometres as their chosen measurement. A fantastic bike which my limited funds didn’t allow me to purchase, congrats on buying the 2nd best 700 supermoto available……
Great bike. Mine is my favourite back road bike ever. Keep looking for new back roads to ride. Ducati open airbox cover and Sprint filter transforms it to Termi levels of performance.
i'm surprised nobody has picked this up, I had a look at a few pictures but couldn't find any close-ups however it does look as though it remains. Dealer will definitely tell you.
Hopefully there will be a few in the dealership that I can have a look at. Got that and the drama of the misaligned seat bolt (only 1 lines up) and the locating lugs keep popping out at the front and rear of the seat that’s making it lift which is annoying the hell out of me.
lots of threads on here to read already D-m:- https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/hypermotard-698.98617/page-17#post-2244710
Also cable tie your cover and ‘toolkit’ to the bike if you still want to find it there when you need it.
Greetings! Very cool looking bike! Once these few gremlins are resolved and the first service is out the way it will be awesome!
@Sharky698 has mentioned the seat thing, and I think he's come up with a clever fix, I could be wrong –which is on another thread on here.
