1260 Phone Mount And Pikes Peak Screen

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by benjit, May 25, 2025.

  1. Hi,
I currently have my phone mounted on a quad lock bracket on the bars which I use as satnav.
Looking at options to mount higher - iconic or evotech.
I have a Pikes Peak screen and am concerned that either of these options will make the phone sit proud of the screen.
Anyone done this and if so any photos of it fitted?
    Thank you.

  2. Didn't take any photos but tried the Evotech with my PP screen. Mind you this was mounting a Carpuride W702, which is significantly large compared to a phone. The top two corners poked out into the air-stream. I reckon a phone should be just OK.

Due to this, and for the better wind protection, I'm now using a Puig Sport screen.

  3. Thanks - mines an iPhone (not max), so hopefully ok!

  4. If I manage to get into the garage tomorrow I might be able to offer up the PP screen and stick my phone on the Quadlock on my Evotech bracket for a photo.

  5. Brilliant if you could! Thanks.

  6. Just checked my photos , the phone isn’t on the bike cos I’ve used it to take the photo ;)
I have a pro max and I mount it with the lenses at the bottom , it’s an evo tech mount
I bought a puig screen , didn’t like the noise from it.
The wind from the small screen is better for me.

  7. Hi Bob, can’t see any photos?! Thanks.

  8. Further to my message above here are some pics of my Samsung Galaxy S22 (approx 3"x6" in Quadlock case) on the Evotech mount. You will note that I have bungied the PP screen to the outside of the Puig Sport screen with a rag in between for protection. The screen is aligned with the screw holes as best I could. The Puig screen is on Iconic screen spacers, so as well as being further forward it's more upright than if you just had the PP screen mounted. Not sure how close the phone would be to just the PP screen but I reckon it would be an OK fit. The trunnion of the Evotech mount can be easily inverted to adjust the height a little if required whist still maintaining the same angle of presentation of the phone.

The two head-on shots are: one level with the ground, the other standing, shot from head height, 4 or so feet in front of the bike. In the former you can see that the phone is behind the screen, the latter you can see the tops of the corners of the case.
