I found it popped a bit more on the over run but the main advantage is if it rusts then it rusts and stays open!
I found that it smooths out things a little when riding at 'around town' speeds. Maybe placebo effect/conformation bias... This, a throttle spacer and 14/40, or 15/42, gearing combined refines the bike IMHO.
Hmmmm, so the no issues wasn't exactly correct, took the bike out for a ride yesterday with the healtec fitted, then noticed the fuel gauge not reading and the fuel light flashing. Pulled over and removed the plug and connected it back up, fuel gauge came back on, put the health back in and the fuel gauge again went off and fuel light flashing. Decision made to leave the plug off and have a working fuel gauge. Not sure what ive done wrong tbh...
Mine seems to be working just fine with the cable disconnected. I’ve got a healtech ESE that I haven’t fitted yet, but I’m very much of the mind that it’s working fine so I aren’t going to worry. love the performance and sound!
Fuel sender is located at the back of the tank with wiring exiting just below your nuts. Possibly you've disturbed that wiring? Also they're are two connectors that look very similar, not sure if they're exactly the same type (would be ridiculous, but not out if the question if they were), stacked on top of each other. The lowest/deepest/least accessible one of the two is the one that the module needs to be plugged into.
Cheers Charlie, I did have it plugged into the bottom part of the switch, I'll leave it for now but may look at it later down the line. The fuel Gauge thing I'm going to have to have a look at the wiring as you could be right, I may have disturbed something.
And now my fuel sensor is throwing a wobbly. It did this the other day on a wet ride and the went away again. Today it did it twice more... Will have to wait until after my upcoming trip to Italy.
