M1000 DS Much better forecast than yesterdays rain, so after breakfast, a ride over Honister A fair bit of ‘gravel’ washed onto the road near Lorton from recent rain. Plenty of sheep and lambs ‘ont road’ after the cattlegrid. Some people swimming in Crummock. Others in campervans at Honister with a picnic table out for breakfast. At Grange, the sun shone and it started to warm up a bit, for the ride home. Buttermere - glasslike, other than ripples from some ducks. Running beautifully @Nasher
After much faffing about I have made a start of sorting out and disposing of all the misc motorbike bits and pieces I have accumulated over the years.A mixed bag of old British bits,a few Ducati bits,workshop tools,roller starters and parts.If the used bike market is anything to go by I expect the bits and pieces will go for a pittance.Ebay will be my chosen route for most of the bits and pieces,with a couple of items on here.
I’d suggest not. I very much doubt it would be that much softer than the outer cover as it is built to withstand a 125mph impact from a driver. Be much better off getting some Theraputty from Fleabay or Amazon. I’d suggest getting a multipack with various strengths as blokes tend to overestimate their ability to compress a bit of putty as my physio told after I’d bought the wrong one…
Went to the cinema to see F1. Very enjoyable and well done if a little predictable script wise. Annoyingly the aircon wasn’t working properly thus undoing the master plan for staying cool.
Arrived at the air B&B in the south of France. 38c at one point today, far to hot. Stunning place with a pool ,lovely lounge, kitchen etc
Went out for a picnic. Didn’t think the lack of sleep, and heat would be conducive to taking the bike out
Took a crappy train to Worcester And cannot post the photo that I just took off my Whisky and Mahou beer. This is good = apart from the train journey.
Bought £300 worth of plants from the local garden centre and B&M...then spent 6 hours planting everything up. Knackered now and I'm sure I won't be able to move tomorrow

Their visas ran out apparently so left France. Yes didn’t it close for a season or 2 only to reopen under a different name, don’t think I ever bumped into this character. Yes I remember him, never saw him sober I don’t think lol.
Not today, but yesterday Rode from Limerick to Cahersiveen, trying as much as possible to stay on the Wild Atlantic Way. The roads and the views are very good. Only encountered one bit of sketchy weather at Connor Pass, went from sunny skies to real heavy mist with about 50 metres of patchy visibility was forced to ride with my visor open which wasn’t ideal. If it makes you feel any better I’m not on a specific trip on a motorcycle to Ireland. I’m away with work but because I have a van that isn’t full of tools I can get my motorcycle onboard for a Sunday ride. I’ve always intended on riding the full Wild Atlantic Way so in case I don’t I’m just doing what little bit of it that I can. Not sure I’d do it on a huge GS though TBH my Supermoto is enough but then like some of the German plated bikes I haven’t ridden 1,000’s of miles to be here.
