I wanted a stand for an ebike rear wheel so I could run/setup the motor whilst static. I had an old motorbike front paddock stand that I wasn't using but, given that a bicycle uses a larger diameter wheel it was too low, so I extended the wheel fixings with a couple of short box section lengths. Basically just cut & drilled for removable height extension;
i work in a hospital so im thinking of putting bigger wheels on as we deal with loads of casters ect.
Good. Mine didn't leave a residue just a lighter looking patch than the surrounding area. Though that was on the plastic chain guard and was not the chain tension label but the tire pressure one. So differences i guess.
