  1. 2 of the wires are redundant. One of the connectors, either the male or female may just have 6 wires? Heated grips run off a separate connector.

  2. Cheers, yes the harness has 6 wires.
Any idea why they would fit an 8 wire aps?
Looks like that would be on a multi with 3 variable resistors in the unit

  3. The APS is likely also used in other applications. It is possible that only a single TPS is required and that the TPS only requires supply voltage, ground and signal. Other applications may require two TPS and the other two wires would be used for supply voltage and signal. The other wires control the Ride by wire.

  4. Not a Ducati but it explains the above

  5. If Texa isn’t displaying the voltages off the APS (and without connecting it to the same model to check I can’t see) but is only displaying the % opening of the APS then I’d reconnect the APS to the loom, back probe the 2 signal wires (it is deffo a 2 track system) and check what voltages are being sent to the ECU. Hopefully though you’ll be able to see in the parameters area of Texa rather than having to back probe.

  6. Cheers guys
I'm sure texa just showed % aps opening and not voltage.
Got side tracked with canbus problems on a Panigale so will get stuck into it next week
