916 Engine Case Paint

  1. I used Tank Strip paint remover, and then a wire wheel on a bench grinder and it removed it easily with no problems, i have done about 4 cases like this

  2. Im using this little hidden gem, also the reason im having to repaint a perfectly good case

  4. Which etch primer did you use pal? Do you have a link?

  5. But they haven't been going broke for at least 10 years so surely they can now buy some etch primer now?

    My little KTM engine cases look like new...

  6. On my engine restoration I used Por15 - Aluminium colour. I wouldn't do it again though, next time I would definitely look at Cerakote.

  7. So ordered the main paint from ebay, prepped and sprayed the case with primer today. The bike shed is currently a temporary spray booth
