  2. I've found that clothes made in Asia and intended for that market can sometimes have odd sizing, but it sounds as if those jackets were intended for somewhere else. Is there a big demand for leather 1950s biker gear among the Masai?

Apparently a reliable way to check if you have average, long or short arms is that your wingspan should equal your height. I am 175cm tall but have a 182cm wingspan and as my right arm doesn't straighten properly due to a badly broken and dislocated elbow when I was 19, it is more like 186cm.

  3. It's why cyclist have cameras these days, any doing serious mileage anyway. Plenty of motorists getting fined for close passing these days.

I don't as I barely cycle these days, possibly the closest pass was up Axe Edge from Buxton to Leek, I could read the tyre information he was that close and I still recall it from the many.

  4. Living the dream yesterday replacing an elderly ladies kitchen tap.

  8. Anyone paying that must be sectioned immediately. BMW are struggling to sell the XM, and are discounting them massively. To launch a special edition for 3 times the price is absolutely ludicrous.

  9. Bit of an unusual start to the day
Pre breakfast I was called out to help with what was suspected to a difficult birth of a calf. Turned out all was ok and the wee one was born naturally.
For a city lad it was fantastic to witness.

  10. There will definitely be 47 people in the world with enough money and with sufficient deficiency in taste and decency to want to buy one. Tbh, you could probably find more than 47 of them just by searching for the hashtag #dubai on instagram.

  12. do you think that they are trying a "Ducati Lamborghini" ? They only have to sell one to some rich, possibly misguided person instead of 3 to ordinary folk.

  13. I don’t think I’d be qualified enough to be at the business end of things.
The calf will be up on her feet, if not now very soon.

  14. saw one by accident last year, we were in three Land Rovers, and the leading vehicle stopped briefly to look (was only a few yards away from the birthing) which was inappropriate with the engine noise, but I wasn't going to overtake as it was my boss.
