I've ordered a new multistrada V2. I've had several Ducati's over the past 25 years or so, but this will be my first ever brand new one . It's going to seem like a long month to wait . I've ordered it with a low seat, heated grips and a centre stand ,I'm trading in my 765 street triple so it will certainly feel a bit different. Just looking for any advice on running in , tips , gadgets fitted etc . Is it normal to be this excited at 52 years old ?
I bought one last year - and am really enjoying it. I also went for the heated grips and centre stand. I'm keen to see if the 2026 version has the quick-shifter "anomaly" (power drops during up-shifting of you attempt a quick up-shift) discussed here: https://www.multistrada950.com/inde...ml?PHPSESSID=761359ecb14e53bb958efceb4099919d - please let me know your experience from test rides and when you get the bike. It's easy enough to get used to - but I think that Ducati should engineer it out. I purchased the sat nav bracket from the dealer - but Evotech have a good one. https://evotech-performance.com/collections/ducati-multistrada-v2-s-2025 Some chat on SatNav mounts here: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/v2s-890-2025-xt-garmin-mount.103662/#post-2268864 And chat on the cable needed here: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/2025-multistrada-v2s-gps-connector-lead.102851/ I added the Evotech levers - less of a stretch for my small fingers. The Ducati tank bag is a good addition - enough storage for a day-trip. If you get the Ducati top box bracket, it is suitable for a wide range of Givi boxes. I added Resinbike stickers - not to everybody's taste ... https://resinbike.com/prodotto/kit-...bili-con-ducati-multistrada-v2-2025-completo/ All-in-all it is an excellent bike, more than enough power and handles a dream. I changed to it (from a BMW RT) because of the reduced weight (easier on my old joints) and have no regrets in terms of touring capabilities and riding performance.
I also added bar risers after a few months - https://www.dbkspecialparts.com/en/...handlebar-riser-spacers.html#/37-color-silver
Hi , yes i'm getting used to it . Trying to get the running in done in a fortnight . I've been quite lucky with the weather last weekend so did a couple of hundred miles . I'm at 435, with the bike booked in on the 28th of this month for it's first service . Quickshifter seems fine so far, obviously only using upto 6k revs as running in . The blipper can push the bike on every now and then, although I've not used it masses . So far so good .
