Recovering Bypass/key Codes 848/1098/1198 Dash

  1. Hi there, Thanks a lot for the work you got in this Tools and Topic :) Sadly I could not get this to work. I have an 1098S with only 1 Key and no keycard. Now I would like to get the bypass code via the Transponder Code from the Zen Bull Mini (ordered but not here yet). After this I want to clone the Key to an new one (ordered a key with a 5M transponder).

    Now I want to get used to the software/excel. I tried the example from the MK10 Post "06 00 00 00 C0 B5 D0 7D and 03 00 00 00 60 D8 E8 38 to test" but when I got in the key code (06 00 00 00 C0 B5 D0 7D for example) I got no key in Shift 4. I only get this but nothing to put in the "Type Last 5 Digits Below". Could you please help me?

  2. From the part in red, take the last 5 digits
    A D 0 B B
and put this in place of xxxxx, press tab

  3. Ohhhh my god, this was to easy for me :-D Thanks for this :-D Hope to get everything will work if the Zen Mini is here. This is a great option to not open the Dash - great work :)

  4. If you buy a key blank with a T5 transponder it will be blank. You need to program the transponder first. You can use the info above shown in the green boxes at Key code. Then, once you have the bypass code for your current key you can program two keys to the dash. A better way would be to PM me and I will give you a code to use that is not in the public domain.

  5. Thanks a lot. I will PM you when I get the ZEN Mini and get my Transpoder Code :)

  6. Hey Chris, I got the ZedBull and read out my key. The information I get is not what I expected. May you help me? Send me a PM and I will send you a picture with the information. Thanks a lot

  7. Hello, I bought a 1098S and only had one key and no code card. I found this thread and tried to obtain the bypass code and new keys that way. For this purpose, I ordered both the ZedBull Mini as well as the USB cables including the adapter for the chip on the dash. I also ordered two new keys with T5 chips.

First, I read out the original key and thought that this would give me copies. The readout did not work well, and in the end it turned out that the “original” key was equipped with a Philips chip. This also means that it was probably not an original key. Therefore, copying was unfortunately not possible.

I then opened the dash and, using Chris’s method, read the bypass and key codes directly from the chip. Both bypass codes worked. In addition, I was able to program the new T5 keys using the key codes from the dash (which still had to be converted). Everything then worked perfectly, and I now have two additional keys and both bypass codes

Many thanks to Chris, who helped me a lot :)
