Both Dave the salesman and Ollie on parts and service have gone back. I don't know the 2nd sales guy. I've met one of the two new techs.
Is it officially open yet? I thought they were going to have a grand opening with invitations to past customers?
Used to get 20% off everything in there from the old parts guy (for no reason not that I'm complaining!) so hoped he would be back
They've had a Panigale V4S Corse stolen from outside the store yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=122129439969157776&set=a.122116989063157776
Quite easily, one of my bikes was stolen from outside the main dealer, nearly 4 years ago 2 lads on an MT07, Smashed the steering lock off, one jumped on mine while the one on the mt pushed it up the hill, the police think they pushed it to a van, and quickly hid it and drove off Not been seen since
It's sad that most in any sort of motor trade take security of customers vehicles very lightly. They only care that their insurance covers them, and don't care about the inconvenience and/or heartbreak for the customer. I've lost count of the amount of times I've collected a bike from outside an MOT station and keys are in it. Or how often in a similar situation my car is parked up unlocked.
I’m pretty sure it was one of their own…. Brand new. Customer parking is around the back of the shop.
If I experienced that, I'd only have to count to one, as I'd never go back to an establishment like that.
Unfortunatly getting a bike MOT round here is difficult unless you can commit to being available on a certain day 3 weeks in advance as that's how far the few places that still do them are booked up for. So you have to go where you can and there is so little choice anway.
There are so few places doing them. My nearest does 4 on a Friday morning once a month. The next nearest is always fully booked for about 3 weeks, and it's a similar story with the next couple. 5 places within 10miles have given up doing them in the last few years. It's a similar story with bike tyres. For various reasons I simply can't commit to being available on a particular day 3 weeks in advance to take a bike for an MOT.
