I've a 2012 Diavel Carbon, and although I've had the bike a while, have not ridden for about 6 yrs (hip issues ) so am very out of date. I have a set of Termi cans to fit. Do I need some sort of 'butterfly eliminator module', and also will the cans run fine without any ecu remap (e.g standard, but louder!)?
If you have the Ducati Termignoni end can from the Accessories catalogue, my memory is telling me that was plug and play with a replacement ECU, you didn’t do anything with the exhaust system valve. If my memory is correct, I still have a new Ducati performance ECU, https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threa...l-termignoni-control-unit.98646/#post-2307307. Andy
That was certainly the case with my 2010 1098 SF. I bought it with Termi decat cans and performance ECU fitted (original cans and ECU included in the sale). I later had a custom remap prior to which the exhaust valve was removed on the advice of the tuning shop. The valve deletion was covered in the remap. It isn't necessary to remove the valve just when fitting Termi cans and as long as you fit the performance ECU that's paired with them no remap is necessary. Removing the servo valve is a separate modification and does require mapping as the performance ECU has been mapped on the assumption it is still there.
