Another red flag this evening with the action stopped for today. A pretty grim start to the fortnight so far.
Grim. That’s the object word associated with the TT. There’s a macabre fascination with almost certain death associated with it every year. Who’s gonna cop it this time? Who’s gonna feel the boney fingers of the reaper? But it’s a marvellous spectacle and I do watch it with huge interest. I’ve never had the balls or confidence to do what they do. It really is something else…
I think the grim-est (is that a word) thing will be the fact that at the start finish line youll be able to see even less (which has happened year on year, and i might add theres that huge fucking box right at the line...im sure the grandstand paying public will be happy about that) - and i bet the shops at the grandstand will probably close even earlier...its like they dont want to sell anything...
I’ve heard that the sidecars will no longer participate in this years TT due to safety concerns ? That’s a concerning development.
Crowe racing As you probably all know by now the boys had a big off at Crosby leap. We appreciate all the concern, although they have fractures and a head injury they are sedated at the minute, there is no risk to their lives. I will update you all when I know more, once again thanks for all your concern.. Nick Crowe
This year all sidecar competitors had to fit inlet restrictors to reduce speed but due to fact that the accident was Crosby, a flat out section, top speeds are too high for the chairs. Looks like the outfit lost steering on the jump. Maria Costello’s outfit apparently hit a rabbit. Again a flat out section.
Yes the TT is having a tough start to the event but i feel unlike some forums i post on im sure this one wont drop to a level of whats what whilst the sad news of a fallen rider is still fresh. @DoveG Nick best wishes from my end .
Saturday racing cancelled due to the weather. https://www.crash.net/rr/news/10964...day-racing-cancelled-following-weather-delays
Well I had a nice few hours in very warm sunshine at Conkerfields catching up with friends. Got the news that the racing was off. Went into a warm and sunny Ramsey for a little while, then rode back over the mountain to Douglas. It was clear in places, but from Mountain Box to Kates the cloud/fog was variable and I was down to 50mph here and there. Nice evening in Douglas, just one rain shower while we were indoors having tea. Plenty of activity in the Paddock and Fanzone.
