Well new to me. After three years and 12k miles on my wonderful V4S I have fallen for the charms of a pikes peak. ‘23 version with the good paint job . It’s been lightly used for the last few years so I intend to cure that! So far so good, it’s a nice change and is in the sportier zone of the multi that I was hoping for, not that the V4S is any sort of slouch but this thing just feels that much more wieldy a machine in most all dimensions. I assume I will have to compromise on some aspects vs the V4S but not noticing it so far. Some longer trips planned will no doubt tell me something but I can’t see its going to much tbh.
Perfect choice, but I'm a bit biased. I rode a new V4S as part of the Ducati roadshow, found it very hesitant to go into to go into corners compared to the PP, was glad to get back on mine.
Yep. The Pikes Peak is the best all round bike I've owned. Don't get me wrong, the RS is an amazing bike, but the PP is a more complete bike, IMO. I'm keeping a very close eye on whether Ducati announce a new Multistrada for 2027, and what the new Pikes Peak will be like.
I took a long look at the RS. Couldn’t justify the price delta for my use. Looking at where it makes it power advantage is just not in scope for me on the road. What a glorious thing though
