I like the tax disc

 

Road fund license (purchase tax) as VED wasn't introduced until 1937?
If the duty paid was £28 I wonder the bike cost to buy? Must have been a shed load of money in those days.

 

The date is April '27 so I'd say this is current IOM tax disc (still a requirement there). This is getting a bit nerdy ...

 

You never know when you might need a blackout headlamp either.

28 quid in 1927 would be the equivalent of over £2.2K in today’s money.

Is that all it costs in the IOM? £121 here though I suppose they haven't got many roads to pay for plus, a bike of that age would be free tax here.

 

Would be £0 here, it's over 40 years old.
