If anyone else is attending this years event, I had in mind a meet up one afternoon/evening during the event for a meal and some vino/beers. We are staying in Riccione but obviously many will be in Cattolica or elsewhere close to the circuit/sea-front. I wil kick this off by suggesting the "Birradromo" in Riccione for a meal and a bevvie or two. If anyone else wants to chime in with some suggestions as to where to go, then feel free. Nearer the date we can exchange contact details and co-ordinate a time and place, but for now it would be good to get an idea on numbers and throw some ideas into the fire.
Soooooo, does anyone want to meet up over the weekend? The last night is always a bit of a damp squib as the event goes into wind down mode so it would seem the perfect opportunity to sign off the weekend with a social get together, Anyone fancy a meal at VR's restaruant in Tavullia that night? Or the sea front in Riccione or Cattolica. Need some feedback people.
im up for anything landing friday leaving monday staying in cattolica and with bike so up for anything on or off the bike
I am looking to organise a forum WDW 2026 meet up at Valentino Rossi's restaurant in Tavullia, for an evening meal on Sunday 5th July at 19:30. Anyone else interested? I tried to book online via What'sApp and I received the reply "We don't take reservations for that weekend, but don't worry—there's plenty of room for everyone". To try and help the restaurant seat us together, (since we won't recognize each other!), I was going to suggest we simply state on arrival we are part of "Topolino's" group. Hopefully, if space permits, it should be a good night. Usually WDW falls a bit flat on the last day, as the event starts to wind down come late afternoon, so it seems the ideal point in the weekend to meet up, for the last hurrah (and maybe a few vinos) Mods can you stick this to the front page, pretty please!
im supposed to be there with another group on the sat happy which i likely wont make but im up for sunday
So can anyone wishing to go add their name to this list, so I can potentially give the restaurant an idea of numbers. I will kick it off with provisionally.... Topolino Topolino's missus RC1
Bumpety bump bump! If anyone is going to WDW and are around on Sunday night, please feel free to join us.
random ask - do we get wristbands? saw 44t vid and they arrived at the circuit in 2024 with wristbands
Yes you need to go to one of the nominated collection points to get them before you will be allowed entry. One is at Ducati Rimini and there are a couple of others not too far from the event entrance. The details of their locations are on your ticket. Once inside, you should also get a goodie bag at the circuit, which you will have to queue up for at the marked area, so avoid doing so at the hottest part of the day. Usually it has some bits and bobs and stickers in it, as well as a commemorative WDW2026 t-shirt. Recommend you get a size Large as they are prone to shrinking! You must attach one of the wristbands to your bike in a prominent place (top yoke is a favourite for me) and one to you. Unlike 44 teeth who wore both bands on their wrists. Doh! The staff will check the two match when you enter or leave the event. No match and you won't be allowed in or out. Though towards the end of the weekend their vigilance wains a little.
youre an expert on this stuff im agonising on what to wear i would default to jeans, textile jacket and/or knox armoured shirt and some ankle boots OR shorts and t shirt like the italians any tips?
As tempting as it is, even though for you, Cattolica is only a ten to fifteen minute ride from the circuit, I would not risk a t-shirt and shorts get-up (despite the fact that the vast majority of the Italians will). Skin grafts are painful and are not fun. Instead try a thin base layer such as a "zero skin" cool top, over the top of which you can wear a vented jacket. Make sure it has the option to add a back protector and elbow protectors. Vented trousers or if not some armoured jeans are also a must. Summer gloves if you have any and maybe some ankle boots (unless you really want to be wearing full on stormtrooper boots). Most afford you pretty good protection, though everything is a compromise against regular riding gear. You will find it just too hot otherwise. Take a small backpack with you and pack a good size water bottle along with some energy gel sachets (Tesco sell a variety of them), plus a t-shirt, shorts and lighweight shoes/sandals. There are points at the circuit to drop off your riding gear, so you can change when you get there. No one is that bothered if you change by your bike, thousands do! I think it is around 5 Euros to have them store your kit for the day. Do NOT lose the ticket they give you in exchange. Also I would bring a helmet bag, the small drawstring type. You can stick your gloves in there as well and it will protect your helmet from bumps and scrapes, thought the staff are generally careful handling your gear. There are water points all over the circuit, if you need a refill, which you will. Saves you buying drinks from the many food stalls which can be pricey. Though the food is generally good value. Unless there is a specific event on the timetable over the three days you want to see or join in with (such as the famous Friday night "Parata", the Saturday evening celebrations or the "Race Of Champions" (now held on the Sunday), I would avoid being there between 11-3pm to escape the worst of the heat. In the past I have tended to go in early, then dip back to the hotel for a swim and some lunch, then back in again later in the afternoon. It is entirely up to you. To be honest you can look around the event easily in a day but many of the notable things organised span over the weekend, so there always a reason to attend each day. Or you might want to soak it all up and stay the entireity of the time at the circuit. Rather depends on the individual, the heat and what else you plan on doing. Edit: Oh and take your spare key and leave it at your hotel, just in case!!
Would it not be easier to get together at Dolce Vita Ristorante in Misano Adriatico Fri or Sat night? It’s the place DOCGB (and a few other DOCs) virtually takes over each night.
