Hoping someone can shed some light on this.. The nut holding the sprocket carrier on my V4 Panigale does not thread onto the shaft enough. I am suspecting that the aftermarket carrier / flange is incorrect, or the spacer between the carrier and the hub bearing is incorrect.
This is the sprocket carrier / flange - does anyone recognise the brand? I have tried to measure the depth of this but its a little tricky, I think it may be closer to 32mm
Not only is the issue of fitting it, but where does it put the sprocket to align the chain? Even though your part slides on the spindle there are several different Ducatis that use that spindle with different fitment off sets and spacers
Thanks @andyb - currently the sprockets & chain alignment are good. I’m hoping to borrow another V4 flange later and test fit it.
Moto Rapido have confirmed the spacer I have is the correct width (9mm) as are both of the nuts (17mm) the AEM nut is every so slightly over size at 17.5mm
Well.. I have now fitted a flange / carrier off another V4 and.. Fits perfectly, everything aligns and the nut threads all the way home. I guess someone fitted the incorrect flange / carrier at some point, happy to have noticed that..!
