  1. I made a sleeve to fit a 999 spindle. Prototype below. Make it the same length as the fat part of the 999 item.
    Used this - ALUMINIUM ROUND TUBE - 35mm OD x 300mm LONG 2.5mm WALL | eBay
The 999 nut can be used, however the l/h fork leg is couter-bored , but only a short amount, the rest holds the spindle nice and snug. Or buy an 848 nut.
    All pinched up safely.
Certainly do the job until the proper part turns up at a sensible price.Used ones are selling on ebay for more than the price new.

  2. I bought a new spindle, it was only about a hundred quid from memory

  3. 104gbp new. As soon as callipers arrive will order spindle from MR. For now fighting the 57mm full system. The old style round one, to snug fit for my liking. Might need to mod it with hammer

  5. @Lucazade here are some pictures showing my old style system DSC_0467.JPG DSC_0466.JPG

  6. On some systems, you have to grind off the exh mounting bracket behind frame.
On R models, these can be unbolted but on non R frames a grinder is needed.

  7. Yes I can see that came to same conclusion today, made the pipe closer to Swingarm flat so have more clearance, now just need to grind off that mount

  8. You could just buy an R...save the grind of..errr....grinding.

  9. Rick can you do photo of the pipe that goes near sump and where it's bracket attaches to rear brake bracket?
