Fork travel look alright. IDK about the front SAG but based on travel It may not be too far off the mark. Compression damping can mask an...
A few years ago, a great Photoshop artist on this forum posted this version of an STV4S: [ATTACH]
One has to wonder how long that will last where emission regulations are strangling the big V-Twins.
I agree. The Multi V4 has gotten too big, tall and heavy. I view the 1260 Pikes Peak already big enough. The V4 engine doesn't make that much...
I'm not too secure about the side-stand either. There was a recall a few years back for the 1260 which was done but not sure if it was the leg or...
^^^^^Love it^^^^ I've just given up on the Ducati connect thingy. It's more of a hassle than anything. IDK about the V4 but on the 1260...
@pantsless Ducati packed your bike with excellent features like quick shifter, electronics like launch control, lap timer, auto cancelling...
@yelloman I only suspected the silencer as a potential culprit as there are no other solid mounting point between the engine and the tail pipe....
If you have your Rider SAG right at about 30%, you can start tweaking the comp and rebound. Wrap a cable tie around your front fork as a measuring...
No such issues with SC-Project. Is it possible that the silencer may be a few mm short and allowing the headers to separate? I'm not dissing GR...
Setting-up the ergos for a bike purchased at a dealer is something the dealer should perform. Sadly, none that I know of do. I've actually...
Your text above makes sense. BTW, the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak pre-load knob does not have any clicks. The maximum number of turns (on mine)...
The fork oil change schedule is bike model dependent. For example, both my Multi and Monster 1200 suggest 45,000 kms. (attached) Personally, I...
That is very true. My 1260 PP brake pedal adjustment range is very limited. I'm at the highest it can go in stock form.
I'm still on manual Ohlins but there's something to be said about electronic suspensions. They've come a long way. The first we're crude with comp...
This one's above my pay grade but I always suspected that increasing the length between the two sprockets would increase the rear height as the...
@Jon Wright My bad, I was thinking of pinch bolts not the axle nut. Yes, tighten the axle nut, bounce, then tighten the pinch bolts.
Yes that's true but if you tighten the pinch bolts prior to bouncing, you're not giving the axle the opportunity to seat well IMHO. [MEDIA]
Don't you mean bouncing the forks before the Axle nut has been tightened to seat the axle properly.
Good recommendation but now you need to slacken the caliper bolds also, bounce, hold and tighten to re-center the brakes.
