Sargent seat is padded differently so you're not sliding as much towards the tank. It should help a bit.

I've done it on 1098 and it took me about an hour. It's easy to do but quite fiddly.

eBay.... you can try listing in on forums and gumtree but I find eBay to be by far the most effective and for a classified ad not very expensive.
I would only consider an electric bike for riding round the city... assuming that it wouldn't cost more than a couple of grand, had decent...

Unless it's a helicopter which you can often land even without the engine or a plane with more than one engine :)
