As a slightly Off-Piste answer... The standard footpegs are a deathtrap... they are the MOST slippery material known to man, and that "weathering"...
You don't need to buy anything... Just move the gear selector rod rose joint from the top connection point to the bottom of the Gear lever. Now...

Yes for the SF I went PRO-TWINS was still in warranty etc. For the older bikes, if I can't do it myself, I would take to Scott at SNS in Ockley
I use the Genius 2 and Genius2x2. Never had any issues and can recommend them. The 5 is for larger batteries... Not needed for bikes

I've been using PRO-TWINS - it's not cheap... I know, but at least their work is 110% spot on. For simple servicing I don't want to do myself...
