I have a bottom triple clamp from 1299 ohlins, the stops are broken off but any shop could drill and tap on new ones.
for 1800 only advice I have is buy it asap, lots of used parts around and worse come upgrade everything like I did!

Like I said of all the thousands I spent the battery was the best upgrade I made, total changed the way I feel about the bike.
I will ask is the regulator on the SL the same pt number as the regulator on the 1299 base.
My SL has Lithium I reckon the charge system is the same as a normal 1299 and my 1199, if Im right the V4 Special has lithium and the base/S do not.

The most effective change/mod/upgrade I made to my 749 and I have upgraded most components over the years is the battery, I finally after 5 years...
after being scat off last year bike a monkey driving a van while on the phone then the police blaming me and then this year while going around...
