If you have the shock still in place, the back end will drop an compress the shock if you do not support it. Likewise, if the back end is elevated...
If you have a DP Hugger, or good quality copy of, you'll note a hole where the hugger meets the inner face of the swingarm. Drill and tap a hole...
That's for a 1*98 and not the 916 era bikes... might fit, but it's the wrong item!

Finally got around to putting the RS swinger on. Probably the easier of installs I've had to do, but did take a good 6 hours to strip it all down...
