They should have put the Panigale engine in, done away with cam belts and given the bike a bit of a redesign. Job done.
Fit a heat shield. I have a fully functioning brake and have had so for a couple of years now. Getting rid of the cat helps as well.

Buy a MotoBatt, excellent piece of kit.
I fitted Rizoma LEDs to mine. They came with resistors which fitted into the subframe tubes beautifully.
Update on this, it worked. I no longer need to buy a seal.
