I clean, and degrease, wipe over with window cleaner and spray. Loads of mist coats works well for me, it does dry fairly quickly. Don’t expect it...
It’s platidip, spray on vinyl. You can peel it off.

It’s the lower mount on the chassis, the engine hangs off it. Just above and forward of the water pump.
