It says in that thread that the 1100 Multistrada doesn't. I think the Hypermotard doesn't either.
Cheers, Chris. Definitely want to avoid doing engine work.
Got both left and right side in perfect condition.
I've got a complete set, if you still need it.
For an upcoming winter project, I'm after a Monster 1100 engine, ideally complete with intake manifolds, throttle bodies, injectors, etc. Has to...
@Sev, feeling better now? I'm certainly not here for your adulation nor anyone else's. I'm also not obliged to answer any disingenuous questions...
Plagiarise?? You're a funny dude. Did I say somewhere is was the first or only one to do this conversion? Anyway, I'm sure you know best.
Yes, that's how we did it as well. Airbox was to our own design, as there is no such thing for a 1198/1098 engine in a 999 chassis.
Prepreg
Just what I said above: extra layers of carbon fibre with high temperature resin. I think we beat this one to death now...
To put your mind at ease, just carbon fibre with a suitably high temperature resin. Nothing more required, really.
Clearly visible in pictures earlier in the thread. He should have gone to specsavers!:joy:
You mean like this one we made earlier? [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
You guys certainly know how to argue!
The airbox is sandwiched between the head and the throttle body. There is also a heat insulating layer incorporated into the bottom of the airbox.
There are actually a few special internal parts and assembly is a bit tricky. It's a bit more complicated than just a standard radial lower. ???

No, what made you think so?
Haven't added it up yet. We would only offer them as conversion service, including the K-Tech internals, using your Showa forks. We'll probably be...
Nah, wasn't as bad as you think. It worked well.
