You can buy a tripod mount Andy. This has a threaded hole that will allow you to bolt it to a bracket or 'P' clip to go on the frame. GoPro...
Try lockwiring it to a secure part of the bike Matt. I did this on mine to help pass scrutineering.

I thought the 1080 resolution gave you a narrower field of view and the 720 was for full wide angle. I could be wrong though
