Well I got it out, it wasn't easy though. It wouldn't budge so I ended up using a carbide burr to thin the steel ring then I was able to fold it...
Cheers, that was one of the reasons for stripping it down, it hadn't contacted anything but was loose. All nicely secured now. [IMG]

Hopefully I have the same luck. I just pressed out the sight glasses and they did not want to come out, left a heap of rubber attached to the cover.
