@tobers as someone else stated I think, maybe the termi map works off the base DVT map, so might make a difference if the new base map was...

The Clock display on my DVT only vibrates under load at around 3k-4k and is then fine. I am sure you can change the brightness on the LCD display.
No would not really call it loud, but a nice deep thump :)
