I think the BMCs are better anyway as they cover all the air inlet area. The DP tubes always left a gap near the front where un filtered air got...

The seat unit looks legit to me but as you said, the side panels are atrocious.
MS Productions reinforced their carbon seat units for non race use with fibreglass. It cost too much to reinforce with carbon fibre.
