I know this is starting up an old post but the engine VIN will tell you what it is.
My vote gets breather too. From what I can see there is no oil residue seeping from the base gasket and the breather looks pretty wet.

Yep spring there on mine and functioning as designed. Rear caliper stripped and cleaned. When I was googling the issue it did come up as an issue...
