Had exactly the same problem with a PR4 front tyre and it does seem common as that particular tyre wears out. I'd been using PR3's for years...

Why? It is a rideout aimed at other Multistrada riders. Keeps numbers manageable and rider style similar. Yea, I'm a bike racist ;)
