I can't see how a 996 or 998 for that matter can match an 1198 in power. Pretty sure the 99x models are quite a bit heavier too.
I'd prefer the 998 engine personally. Saying that, I've not ridden either. #uselesscontribution :tongueout:

Modern coolants have enough corrosion inhibitors. Using tap water is just fine. Corrosion and sludge are usually when garages use weak mixtures...
