The crank rotation tool is handy too..... If you use one make sure the spark plugs are out.... it will snap the lugs off the tool if you don't....

So No fuel pump and fuel sender failure.... Check for common and supplies at the tank connector?....
As I've said.... When mine flashed 12 times on switch off it was a wire broken off the the sender in the fuel tank.
It is in the tank... Big hole in the underside of the tank where the whole assy fits if you're using the ducati parts manual it's under "fuel...
Has it been running before with the indicator fault code?.. If so... you could possibly ignore that for now.... my point was just don't assume...
It's inside the tank..... mounted with the pump.. Filter gubbins on the alli flange. You need to look at a manual to see the details...
