    Is it ok to use 10W/40 or even 15W/40 oil in an older 900?

    Got plenty of Motul 5000 10w40 might give it a go

    I think most oils on Ducati cluctches would casue clutch slip as most are of the dry variety :biggrin: Most car oils are not suitable for bikes...

    Mine was ok , but nearly binned as I had ordered and received a new one , cause at the time the dealer didnt realise there were two versions.

    I agree with this , I was taught never pull a cap off without earthing the plug, 1/ it can give you a shock b/ it can bugger up the CDI unit

    Simons Mk1 #110 Restoration. Dyna Mini coils now added with Taylor Ht Leads, these fit using the std mounting brackets, just need slightly longer...

    This wasnt about new or older designs , dont give a F88Ck about how old the design is, it was to do with old tyres , My new older design tyres...
