The fittings for the feed and return pipes are the same thread for both bikes. Went through this with my 998S.
Did the 1199 de cat and avoided using the 1299 cans as they are a bit trickier to get perfect. Still an easy job to remove the cats on either but...
Ok. Can’t you just remove the rearset and release the quickshifter? That’s how I did mine when I changed it.
You should be trying to slacken the shaft using the milled in slots (B). Try holding the sensor end in a vice or use a suitable sized drill bit...
Reading through this thread again made me wonder if anyone had tried the HM Sabs shifter on their 899/1299 or any other bike? Looks promising...
