Sounds like it needs bleeding, it's not disengaging correctly so probably air in the system... No signs of leaks anywhere?
Fork knocking/clunking sound/feel is another one, not a recall but a known issue
Might be listed on their site, they're a simple push/friction fit into the spindle... More like hammer in same diameter as the spindle so nothing...
JHP do the best fork protectors IMO non of this unscrewing nuts and bolts to get the wheels in and out
