I think the 1098(s)/1198 are the same size, so if that kit is for them it will fit.
I'm probably wrong but I thought the headers were a different size on the 1098/1198 to the 848.
The tps being out could explain the lack of starting without throttle, and has now lead to the sprag failing from the attempts to start.
