Im now thinking why did it snap? should the lifter pin have movement?? I dont want to put it all together just for it to snap again??

From some research and logic i think it looks like the lifter pin has snapped or the end of the push pin has snapped off. circled in pictures...
I have no problem paying to have this fixed let me assure you. its just Simon said "pardon the pun" he will look after me as its low mileage and...
ive spoken to Simon @ Ducati Stoke seems really happy to help and nice chap. also said bike was originally sold by them.
My warranty ran out march 2019! I presumed it was 3 years not 2..... now what.....
