Ok. How’s about getting some 3mm plates fabbed up? Same bolt holes as the wooden feet and drill and bolt through the centre part.
Undo the bottom bolts and have a look at the central tube. Weld an extension to it.

I had my ohlins rear shock rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago. New spring, shock body and full service. I think it was about £230. Kais did it.
